Is Vodka vegan? Is Vodka suitable for vegans? This blog post explains it.

Today, most vodka is made from fermented grains such as sorghum, corn, rice, rye or wheat, though you can also use potatoes, fruits or even just sugar. The process of distillation requires no clarification and therefore, no animal products either.
Which means the majority of vodka is vegan. As long as nothing is added for flavourings etc.. its safe to say that your ordinary typical vodka is vegan. So if your vegan or planning on going vegan, don't panic, you can still get your fix, and enjoy a nice drink of vodka!
To guarantee that the vodka you drink is actually vegan you can find out here from this vegan liquor guide: http://www.barnivore.com/liquor

Being vegan doesn't mean you have to miss out on some of the things you enjoy that aren't the healthiest of things to consume. There is many alcoholic drinks that are vegan, so if your planning on going vegan its safe to say that you will still be able to enjoy an alcoholic drink. Sometimes if you are vegan or raw vegan its actually easier to get drunk as you have a cleaner system, so don't go overboard if you haven't drunk for a while since you've been vegan, you may find you don't need as many as you used to, to feel its effects!
