Are Donuts Vegan? This bog post explains if donuts are vegan or not.

The simple answer is, the majority of donuts on the market today will will not be vegan. Most donut recipes will include milk, eggs and butter which are all derived from animal sources. Also donuts will most likely contain sugar and if your a strict vegan most sugar is not fully vegan because of the bone char used in the refining process.
Bone char is basically animal bone. Its used in the process of refining sugar.
That does not mean that you can't get vegan donuts though because you can. If your a fan of donuts but you are vegan or you are thinking of going vegan then seek out some vegan donut recipes or companies that sell vegan friendly donuts because there are some. I am from the UK, and i know that Tesco sell some vegan friendly donuts, so it is possible to get vegan friendly donuts if you wish, you just need to find them.

If you do not want to make your own Vegan donuts then do a little research on the brands donuts before you purchase them, check on google or check the ingredients. Don't think for a second that if your vegan you have to go without your sweet donuts because you don't :D.
